Resources for an Aging Congregation

We are an aging congregation focused on issues of aging. As such, we are interested in helping our congregation and the greater Kensington/El Cerrito/Richmond find quality resources that can aid an individual or loved one in his or her transition into senior living. Please explore some of the below material and feel free to call the office at (510) 526-9146 with any questions.

We recently hosted author Lewis Richmond in a three-part discussion based on his book titled Aging as a Spiritual Practice.

Explore this PBS Frontline Special Living Old which is described as “A powerful and intimate journey into the uncharted territory of Americans living longer than ever — and what it means for them, their loved ones and our society.”

Lizann Bassham has written a collection of poems entitled In Praise of Aging and is currently creating a journal with writing prompts and questions for folk to reflect on their own process of aging. She invites you to comment and share any thoughts or questions you think might stimulate some creative reflections based on any of the 15 poems and one song linked below.
