In-Person/Live-Stream Worship: “Hazard Ahead: Overpacking”

  • Arlington Community Church 52 Arlington Avenue Kensington, CA, 94707 United States (map)

This Sunday we begin a new sermon series looking at the temptations of Jesus for the church. The first temptation Jesus faced in the story in Luke 4 was turning stones into bread. Similarly, the church can find it tempting to offer faith as a product or service to be consumed. As we journey together into our future, how can we avoid the hazard of consumerism or commodification of our faith and instead focus on being "Godbearers" to our community and world?

Tim K. Murphy will accompany this week's Hymns and provide music for this week's Prelude & Postlude. Jeffrey Frederic Paul will lead us through this week's Hymns and lead the ACC Choir & Bell Choir for this week's Special Music & Offertory. Larry Brookes will be this week's Liturgist. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
