Join us at a community roundtable to discuss the right to free speech in America.

We'll hear from three community leaders on current threats to freedom of speech, and ways to counter these threats. Panelists include:

  • Catherine Lhamon, now at Berkeley Law, formerly Chair of the Civil Rights Commission in the Obama administration, and Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights in the Education Department in the Biden administration

  • David Snyder, former journalist and lawyer and now the Executive Director of the First Amendment Coalition

  • Dorothy Lazard, award‑winning author, historian, and former Oakland librarian
