On this fourth Sunday of Epiphany we will continue looking for revelation through Jesus who shows us “the Way.” In Matthew 4:12-23, Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah, announcing the coming of light to the nations, and proclaimed “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Then he called people to follow him. What is the way that Jesus calls us to follow, and how does it contrast with the way of Empire?
Tim K. Murphy will provide this week’s Prelude and Postlude joined by Joe Pratt on vocals and sax. Jeffrey Frederic Paul will lead the ACC Choir joined by June Ough & Anne Malamud on chimes for this week’s Offertory. Linda Young will serve as Liturgist, and Rev. Jen Chapman will preach a brief homily and lead the service.
We will have a shortened service this week, 45 minutes, followed by the Annual Meeting.
Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
