On this fifth Sunday of Epiphany and the first Sunday of African American history month, we will continue looking for revelation through Jesus. Our Scriptures this Sunday answer questions of who belongs and who is blessed in the Realm of God. As we gather around the table for communion, we find our own belonging and blessedness in God’s world order. Fed from this table, we are empowered and sent to build a just society where all belong.
We’ll enjoy Special Music this Sunday from our Choir, led by music Director, Jeffrey Frederic Paul, who will also perform this week’s Offertory. Tim K. Murphy will accompany this week’s Hymns and provide this week’s Prelude, Communion Distribution, and Postlude. Julie Stokstad will serve as Liturgist, and Rev. Jen Chapman will preach and lead the service. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
