On this Racial Justice Sunday and sixth Sunday of Epiphany we will listen to stories and Scripture that point us toward our calling to be salt and light in the world. We will welcome Karen Nishikawa, from Sycamore Congregational Church, who will share about the internment of her family members. And we will welcome artist Marvin McMillian, who will share his justice-inspired art with us. We will hear stories of injustice, stories of repair, and stories of resistance, helping us connect with racial justice issues of the past and present across a spectrum of diverse perspectives, building empathy, solidarity, and hope.
We’ll enjoy special music this Sunday from our Choir, Accompanist, Tim K. Murphy will provide this week's Prelude & Postlude, and Music Director, Jeffrey Frederic Paul will be joined by Martin Bell for this week's Offertory. Susan Wootton will serve as Liturgist and Rev. Jen Chapman will lead the service. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
