On this Fifth Sunday of Lent, in the midst of dry valleys, death, and destruction, we’ll listen for prophetic voices, leaning into hope instead of fear. There is plenty of bad news when it comes to the care of our planet, but there is good news too! So as we explore the story of Lazarus’ resurrection we’ll mourn with Martha, Mary, and Jesus over the reality of death, but also look for signs of life, asking God to breathe new life into us so we can rise up like the dry bones in Ezekiel 37.
Cheiko Chambers will play her flute, accompanied by music director, Jeffrey Frederick Paul, and we’ll enjoy special music from our choir, accompanied by Tim K. Murphy. Susan Russell will serve as liturgist, and Rev. Jen Chapman will preach and lead the service. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
