On this Palm Sunday, we’ll consider the role of creation in the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem, from branches to donkeys to seeds. We’ll explore the symbolism in the branches, in this ancient story and today. And as we reflect on another weekend of “No Kings” protests across the country we’ll see what our Scriptures, and the branches we wave, say about what kind of leadership we long for, and what kind of “kingdom” Jesus brings.
We’ll enjoy special music this Sunday from our choir and bell choir, directed by Jeffrey Frederick Paul, and accompanied by Tim K. Murphy. Faith Abel will serve as liturgist, and Rev. Jen Chapman will preach and lead the service. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
