In-Person/Live-Stream Worship: “Wounded Hands”

  • Arlington Community Church 52 Arlington Avenue Kensington, CA, 94707 United States (map)

On this second Sunday of Easter we will begin a new sermon series, “The Ways of Life,” based on Peter’s sermon on Pentecost. Throughout Eastertide we will explore the ways that the risen Christ points us to life, this week contemplating the significance of his wounded hands (John 20:19-31). Why were the scars of Jesus’ suffering so important after his resurrection, and what does their inclusion reveal to us about the ways of life? We’ll have music from our Choir and Bell Choir led by Jeffrey Frederic Paul. Tim K. Murphy will accompany this week’s hymns and provide this week’s Prelude and Postlude. Caro Grosvenor will be this week’s Liturgist and Pastor Jen will lead worship and give this week’s sermon. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
