In-Person/Live-Stream Worship: Open & Affirming Sunday

  • Arlington Community Church 52 Arlington Avenue Kensington, CA, 94707 United States (map)

On this 5th Sunday after Pentecost, we’re celebrating and reaffirming our covenant to be an Open & Affirming church, and wrapping up our series, “For the Common Good”. Guest speaker, Riss Kostelnick (they/them), will preach from Matthew 10:40-42, helping us look at the meaning of welcome. Why was welcome so important to Jesus, and how can embracing this calling help us live into our commitment to be an Open & Affirming church?

We’ll welcome a guest singer this Sunday, Alliana Lili Yang, singing, “What Was I Made For?”  by Billie Eilish. And we’ll also enjoy special music from our Choir, directed by Jeffrey Fredrick Paul and accompanied by Tim. K. Murphy. Janice Kosel will serve as liturgist and Rev. Jen Chapman will lead the service. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
