This Sunday we're having a church picnic! We'll carpool to Cazadero for a day of rest, worship, food, and fellowship in the redwoods! Our worship service will center on the beauty of God's creation and the inspirational story of two heroic midwives in Exodus 1. We will not be able to livestream this service, so if you're worshiping from home this Sunday, please consider spending some time outdoors (or viewing nature through a window) and reading Exodus 1:8-2:10. Where did the characters in this story get their bravery? As we remember the midwives, we'll also consider the mantra of activist Valerie Kaur, "breathe and push." How do we learn to balance action and rest?
If you would like to join us this Sunday, but haven't RSVP'd, it's not too late! The address is 2545 Austin Creek Road. The carpooling group will meet at the church at 9am, and we will begin worship in the redwoods at 11:30am. If you can, please let Pastor Jen, or Sara or Randy Laferte know you're coming.
