This Sunday we’ll continue the Season of Creation with the Blessing of the Animals! We’ll begin with a pet-friendly service in Social Hall, celebrating the inherent goodness of all creatures, lamenting the endangerment many creatures are facing, and considering what it might look like to embrace our collective call to be caretakers of creation today.
Our choir, directed by Jeffery Frederick Paul, will honor Saint Francis with a special offertory piece, and Tim K. Murphy will provide a pet-inspired prelude. Rev. Jen Chapman will lead the service, offering a brief reflection, and Janice Kosel will serve as liturgist.
The service will only be 30 minutes long, but it will be live-streamed on YouTube as usual.
