On this Fourth Sunday of Advent we’ll hear the prophetic song of Zechariah, who after a time of silence and uncertainty, finally found his faith and his voice. Even as our own faith falters from time to time, we’ll listen to the songs of Zechariah and the psalmist, declaring God’s mercy and steadfast love. On the darkest day of the year (winter solstice!), we’ll steep ourselves in songs of love and hope.
We’ll enjoy special music from the ACC Ensemble, featuring Kelly Back, Joe Pratt, and Richard Mayers, directed by Tim K. Murphy. Rev. Jen Chapman will preach and lead the service, and Jan Kosel will serve as liturgist. Childcare will be available during the service for children ages 2 and up.
