Mindful Yoga with Wendy Beckerman

Wendy Beckerman is a yoga and meditation instructor with a passion for making the practices engaging and fulfilling for people of all ages and fitness levels--beginners to experienced practitioners. In 1994, she turned to yoga and mindfulness meditation to help balance her lifestyle as a touring singer/songwriter.
Wendy was originally certified as an Integral Yoga instructor in 1998 and gained experience teaching in health clubs, yoga studios, in-home private sessions, schools, and corporate settings. In 2005, Wendy continued to deepen her practice by studying Anusara Yoga with teachers Abby Tucker and Sianna Sherman and later earned her credentials as an Anusara-inspired instructor.
Wendy has trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with Jon Kabat-Zinn, Saki Santorelli, and Bob Stahl. She has taught courses and workshops in the Bay Area, and is dedicated to mindfulness as a way of life.
Wendy founded East Bay Yoga to bring on-site yoga and meditation to the workplace and other locations, emphasizing stress reduction and promoting a sense of community among participants. Her teaching style is often described as clear, connected, calming, and centering, and includes the use of imagery to emphasize moment-to-moment awareness and inspire her students to more fully experience everyday life.
